Jason and Gena met in middle school many years ago. Jason gave his heart to Jesus at a party at Gena’s home. Shortly after this transforming night in his life, he and Gena began going to church together and hanging out. They dated all the way through high school and were married three months after graduation. Fourteen years later, they have a great marriage and five wonderful children. (Caleb-11, Brittany-7, Elijah-7, Jacob-6, Alyssa-4) God has been very faithful to them as they have given their lives to each other and to Him.

Ordained at the age of eighteen, Jason has served in church planting, church revitalization, student ministry and missions for over fifteen years. He has a unique gift and method of communicating the gospel in relevant ways to see hearts and lives set on fire with a new passion for Jesus. Jason will soon complete a Master of Ministry, with a concentration in Church Revitalization/Planting from Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, Oklahoma. For four years prior to founding The Gate, he served as the lead student pastor at Riverside Church in Norman, Oklahoma. He is also a presbyter for International Gospel Outreach, a mission organization that serves missionaries all over the world.

As the Lead Pastors of Gate Church, Jason and Gena are working to create a fun and exciting church for families of all backgrounds to worship together in the Cy-Fair/Houston area. They want to be a community of believers who impact our world one person at a time.
